Corrosion Mapping (C-Scan)

Corrosion Mapping (C-Scan) is a nonintrusive technique which helps to map material thickness using ultrasonic technique. The differences in material thickness due to corrosion / erosion can be identified & graphically illustrate as an image. This technique is extensively used for the in-service detection & charecterization of anomalities in pipes & vessels. The data is saved on a computer with color coding to display the differences in thickness reading.

ADVANTAGES OF

C-SCAN

  • Agility: Works on plate, pipe and complex geometries as elbow or domes without complex and cumbersome mechanics
  • Confidence: Provide real time two dimension map confirming mapping status
  • Productivity: Onboard statistics, direct export to external software
  • Simple and Powerful: Facilitate analysis and explanation with the use of the 2D rendering data file
